Troy Alves Profile and Workout Routine

Quick Stats:

Troy Alves is an IFBB professional bodybuilder that currently resides in Peoria, Arizona, USA. He was born September 26, 1966 (45 years old) and stands 5 feet, 8 inches. He competes at around 220 pounds and bulks up to around 245 lbs in the off season.

Like many others, bodybuilding grew off of a passion for weight training when Troy was in high school, where he played baseball. An injury whilst weight training forced Troy to give up baseball, which he had earned a scholarship for to an Arizona community college, and eventually began to pursue bodybuilding. His first competition was at a local show in 1996. He placed 8th at this show, which was an amateur NPC show (USA Championships). His first IFBB professional competition was the 2003 Arnold Classic. In this show, he took 10th place. Like many others, his first Mr. Olympia landed in a spot in 15th place – which when you consider being up against the top bodybuilders in the world – isn’t all that bad.

Alves is not known as a mass monster, but more so known for his pleasing symmetry and aesthetics. Where he resides in Peoria, Arizona, Troy owns his own supplement shop, known as “Pro Nutrition”.

2010 and 2011

Troy’s recent accomplishments in bodybuilding prove that even though he is considered to be an older bodybuilder that bodybuilding can really be an “old man’s sport”. In 2010, he won the Phoenix Pro show in Mesa, Arizona, and won his 2nd IFBB bodybuilding show in the Connecticut Europa battle of champions on July 30, 2011.
